About TiME - Technology in Music Education UK
TiME is an alliance of music industry organisations, educators and practitioners in the UK dedicated to supporting the purposeful and creative use of Music Technology in Education.
In collaboration with highly experienced teachers, music leaders and organisations, we provide information on the ever-growing range of music technology available to improve equitable access to all areas of music teaching, learning, composition and performance.
What TiME does
Helps create a greater awareness of the range of uses of Music Technology within Education
Commissions and shares new music technology resources and CPD sessions
Hosts conferences, events and new technology showcases highlighting the innovative new products supporting access to music
Connects manufacturers, designers and makers with music hubs, schools and individuals, to develop, trial and test the latest music technologies
Offers FREE membership including access to a wide range of high quality resources
Connects industry with education through our Corporate Membership scheme.
TiME Membership and Community
Our membership comprises individual teachers, music hub leads, inclusive music specialists, students and industry professionals.
We are supported by many organisations including: Music Mark; Independent Society of Musicians (ISM); Music Teachers’ Association (MTA); UK Music; Joint Audio Media Education Support (JAMES); Music Industry Association (MIA); and Making Music, along with many others.
TiME offers Corporate Membership to companies who make, distribute and sell music technology products.
We also offer membership for organisations that are Registered Charities or Not-For-Profit Organisations.
We are active partners in The Inclusive Music Consortium (Creative United) and DiME (Digital Innovation in Music Education – Music Mark). TiME also liaises with University Departments whose courses are accredited by JAMES - the Government Public Sector Regulatory Body (PSRB) for our industry.
