Simon Steptoe

Simon is a musician, composer, and project manager with over 30 years’ experience working in music education and in community music settings. He also has a background in Javanese gamelan music having studied in Indonesia in the 1990s, subsequently working with several major arts organisations delivering projects across the UK and internationally.
For the past decade, Simon has worked at the Northamptonshire Music and Performing Arts Trust running the Musical Inclusion Programme which focuses on supporting disadvantaged young people who face barriers to participation. He also works as General Manager for Deep Roots Tall Trees, a Corby-based organisation that aims to empower the creativity of local people through music and the arts.
