Jay is a mixing and mastering engineer, producer, and guitarist, he is also partially sighted. This makes him a prime contact for matters relating to music and visual accessibility.
Jay founded ‘Sound Without Sight’ as a community hub for blind and partially sighted musicians and audio engineers. The project will offer a space to collate expertise to support this community, aspiring to become the go-to directory for information on how to support sight-impaired musicians. It will be a useful resource to teachers and family members, as well as musicians themselves. The project will also provide a platform to promote sight-impaired talent, increasing representation and visibility.

He primarily works with emerging independent artists. Last year, 11 tracks that he worked on with such artists were selected for BBC Introducing radio play.
