Richard Llewellyn highlights accessible music technology in the Music Teachers Association Ensemble Magazine

Richard Llewellyn (CEO of TiME: Technology in Music Education UK has over thirty-five years experience in music education, having worked for sheet music publishers, instrumental manufacturers and several prestigious international music technology companies. Richard also regularly writes for the Music Teachers Association (MTA) Ensemble Magazine. The MTA is the largest and longest established association of music teachers in the UK, supporting all who are connected with a school music department. “From September 2024, the reorganised forty-three Hub Lead Organisations (HLOs) will get £25m to spend on new musical instruments, equipment and technology (hardware and software), which will include instruments specifically designed for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. It is now down to schools to contact their local HLO and let them know what they need (especially in terms of music tech) and why, in the hope of getting some new gear.
