As Head of Music Production for the Northamptonshire Music and Performing Arts Trust John is responsible for a team of staff and the delivery of the subject throughout the schools of Northamptonshire. He works closely with RSL awards and their music production grading syllabus, to create effective schemes of work. This has involved consulting with academy chains to devise strategies to reach students who otherwise would not be able to access the subject due to their financial situations.
Outside of this role, John is also a certified Steinberg trainer and has delivered workshops for schools and music hub staff demonstrating how they can integrate the DAW Cubase into their teaching. He also works as a busy gigging musician and session guitarist, most recently performing at the o2 arena.
Currently John is working towards putting on a two day Sound Art installation event at the Derngate theatre in Northampton entitled ‘ReGeneration’ that will involve multiple music hubs from around the country.
