Review 2023

We couldn’t look back on 2023 without remembering our friend and colleague David Ward FRSA. David established TiME in 2019, along with Richard Llewellyn and Kate Rounding with the goal of creating a greater awareness of music technology in education.

David leaves an enduring legacy that will continue to shape the future of music education in the UK and beyond.

2023 Projects

We launched an exciting partnership project with The University of Hull and Leicestershire Music. Music Technology Education Connect (MTEC) will see the development of a free online classroom resource and training offer.

Funded by the Amber Trust we launched ‘Sound Moves’ - working with instrument developer Tim Yates and Professor Adam Ockelford, the project will develop and trial a new sensor-based MIDI controller that aims to improve access to music-making for children with conditions that constrain movement
