Music Teacher has launched its next conference, Next Steps for Curriculum Music: Beyond the Noise, which will take place in person on 5 July at the Hallam Conference Centre in London. Curated by MT’s editor Harriet Clifford, the one-day conference will enable primary – specialist or generalist – and secondary music teachers, to come together and hear from a range of expert speakers, and to explore curriculum music in the context of recent policy changes, challenges, research, progress, and ideas that have a direct impact on those on the ground. By the 5 July, the refreshed National Plan for Music Education is expected to have been published, and the conference will be able opportunity for music teachers to reflect on and digest its contents, applying the document and its implications to their classrooms.
